CENSORED Privacy Policy

Effective: August 11, 2026

CENSORED helps you cover private details in photos and videos. The app edits the media you choose on your device. It does not upload that media to us, and it does not require an account.

Media and photo-library access

CENSORED uses Apple’s photo picker so you can choose a photo or video. The app creates temporary working files on your device while you edit. When you export, CENSORED asks for permission to save a new copy to your Photos library. It does not replace the original.

Temporary files and app settings remain on your device until iOS or the app removes them. You can remove the app and its local data through iOS Settings.

Purchases

CENSORED uses Apple In-App Purchase and RevenueCat to sell and restore Pro subscriptions. Apple processes payment details. RevenueCat receives purchase history, Apple receipt data, an anonymous app user identifier, and technical information needed to validate purchases, restore access, prevent fraud, and report subscription performance. CENSORED does not give RevenueCat your selected photos or videos.

RevenueCat acts as a service provider for subscription processing. Its privacy policy is available at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.

Tracking, advertising, and accounts

CENSORED has no advertising SDK, does not use the Apple advertising identifier, and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. The app does not create user accounts or collect your name, email address, contacts, precise location, or payment card details.

Data sharing and retention

We share subscription records with Apple and RevenueCat only to operate Pro access. Those providers retain records under their own legal and operational requirements. We may keep support correspondence if you contact us.

Children

CENSORED is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

You can deny photo-library access and stop using the affected import or export feature. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings. Use Restore Purchases in CENSORED to recover an eligible purchase.

Changes

We will update this page when CENSORED’s data practices change and will revise the effective date above.
